District 12 virtual town hall meeting

Hello Neighbor,

We wanted to send you a quick reminder that there will be a District 12 virtual town hall meeting on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. Register to attend the meeting here.

The topic at hand will be the Atlanta Police Department’s Use of Force Advisory Council’s 45-Day Report and Strategic Recommendations for Reimagining APD.

As you may recall, the Use of Force Advisory Council was launched on June 10, 2020 by Mayor Bottoms with the goal of evaluating the Atlanta Police Department’s Use of Force procedures and developing recommendations on areas for improvement. The Mayor directed the group to develop two outputs: 1) a 14-day report on initial findings, and 2) a more comprehensive 45-day report. The 14-day report was completed and sent to the Mayor on or around June 24, 2020. You can see that full report here. The 45-day report has also been completed and sent to the Mayor.
